DBT: What’s It About Training

Offered: Social Work CE (5.5 hours)
Description: This workshop introduces Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to the audience. Participants will learn the foundations of DBT, as well as, assumptions applied, functions and treatment targets. It will provide an overview of the Biosocial theory.
Participants will also be introduced to the 4 modules of DBT skills: Core Mindfulness, Interpersonal Effectiveness, Emotion Regulation and Distress Tolerance.
Intended Audience: CMH staff including Outpatient Services, Outpatient Case Management, Next Step, ACT, MCU, Case Management, IDDT, DBT, Nursing/Medial, Peer Supports, Mental Health Assistants, SUD and Residential.
This workshop is not mandatory, however strongly encouraged to attend. Attendees must discuss/obtain supervisor approval prior to registration.
