Providing behavioral health services in homes and community settings requires balancing person-centered care with personal safety. This training will provide clinicians, case managers, peer support specialists, and other community-based staff with practical strategies for recognizing and responding to potential safety risks before, during, and after home visits. Topics include situational awareness, de-escalation techniques, environmental risk assessment, professional boundaries, emergency response, organizational safety protocols, and documentation. Participants will gain practical tools to enhance their safety while continuing to provide compassionate, trauma-informed, and recovery-oriented care.
